Architectural Business Development
Major Industries is searching for a registered architect interested in a commercial product sales position. This “work at a distance” position requires a minimum of 50% travel within a multi-state region, from your home office, and involves design consulting, project development, project follow-up and closing new projects by working directly with Architects, Owners Representatives, General Contractors and other channel partners. We seek an individual that understands the manufacturing business and selling process, and someone who has a desire to become a business development representative, promoting and selling our custom designed and manufactured architectural building products.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Qualified applicants should have the following:
- Architectural License
- LEED Certification
- Business development / selling background
- Experience traveling regularly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working computer knowledge (including MS Office programs)
- Adaptable sales personality
- The ability to work independently
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry – especially project bidding knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
Other desired strengths include public speaking, an understanding of structural analysis, a daylighting analysis background, glazing experience, building code experience and specification writing, and field experience as a project manager.
Travel is required from time to time but training and meetings should be performed as often as possible through electronic webinar means such as Zoom, Google Hangouts or other approved software.
